Chris Miller is a highly qualified and motivated Videographer. Trained at BBC Television Centre by some of the countries best and well known Cameramen, he has a proven track record in all genres.

 

After 30 years with Auntie, Chris became freelance in 2010, since when he has carved an enviable reputation, and also broadened his scope, within the industry, matching its fickle and ever changing landscape. Starting Digimorph Ltd in the same year, he has pushed himself and his company into new and exciting areas.

 

Work experience

 

 

1978: Joined BBC having left school after 'A' levels

 

1978-1983: Operational training including: attachments to BBC Ealing Film unit, BBC Outside Broadcasts, Studio Sound, Lighting and Studio Management

 

1980-1988: General diet of shows including: Top of the Pops, Old Grey Whistle Test, Blue Peter, Playschool and Jackanory. LE shows including: Val Doonican, Nana Mouskouri, Generation Game, Bob’s Full House, Blankety Blank and Lena Zavoroni. Drama including: Dr Who?, Blake’s Seven, The Complete Shakespears’ Eastenders and Numerous Single Plays.

 

1989: Promotion to Deputy Camera Supervisor.

 

1989-1995: Top of the Pops, Blue Peter, Brucie’s Generation Game, Joking Apart, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Big Break, You rang M’Lord, Performance (Dramas), Eastenders, plus an acting role as a cameraman in ‘Ghostwatch’ (as well as shooting same) which was also nominated for an RTS award

 

1992: Promotion to Camera Supervisor

 

1995-2000: Through Supervising on Dramas in the Performance strand was approached to technically Direct several of their later series   including: Hedda Gabler, The Maitlands and Henry IV. 

This period included a lot of Eastenders which led to me Directing some 35+ episodes including: VJ Celebrations,  Arthur’s  funeral and Barry’s stag party in Amsterdam. Also the straight to Video special ‘Mitchells: The Naked Truth'.

 

2000: Returned to full-time Camerawork
